WELCOME TO SPECKLEPEDIA

Welcome to the open access website dedicated to clinical speckle tracking echocardiography.

I aim to provide clear examples on typical findings by 2D strain analysis by providing illustrative examples (including conventional 2D findings and correlations with CMR)

This website was founded 01-2016 and is currently under construction. I aim to complete the "clinical examples" section as soon as possible. Newest posts are shown in the slider below.

Feel free to use these examples in presentation or teaching with the proper reference and without modification of the original uploaded images.

Finally, I am looking for collaborations with other experts in this field to fill the clinical section of this website. Feel free to contact me in the "contact" section.

Sincerely,

Website administrator and founder:

A.J. Teske, MD, PhD

Clinical cardiologist, University Medical Center Utrecht, The Netherlands.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS

This section is devoted to the background of the technique, image acquisition, post processing, and finally interpretation of the results.

RELEVANT LITERATURE

Section listing relevant literature and overview articles on echocardiographic deformation imaging. This section also includes direct links to relevant web-sites regarding the subject.

CLINICAL EXAMPLES

Main section on relevant clinical examples. This section aims to provide illustrative examples in all relevant cardiac disorders. All cases are illustrated with a clinical case, echocardiographic movies and deformation graphs (als including correlation to MRI findings when available).
